I recently completed this portrait of my half- brother Ned McDougall. It is painted at his home in Temple Cloud. As he is fond of dressing up and a collector of uniforms, I suggested he wore his ceremonial army attire.

This is a painting I have made in response. I am going to enter it into the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. I have also been commissioned to paint another picture of the site so watch out for more to come. I am currently working on a series of small abstract works as an antidote to my watercolours which are often quite detailed and labour intensive.
